With businesses growing rapidly and the economy at a healthy point, we’ve seen a lot of organizations look to internal events to boost staff morale, increase engagement and build community within their professional environment. Shifting focus to internal affairs of organizations to ensure associate satisfaction, growth and acknowledging hard work is a sign of a competitive climate and maintaining loyalty is important to organizations. A backbone to these types of events is a mobile event app – it lays the foundation for communication and provides a platform for engagement.
We recently partnered with an organization with several branches across the nation that was looking to unify the regional offices as one team. Each office had several different divisions, and the main unifying element was the product and service they sold. Despite the opportunity to see each other at the annual Holiday party and working towards a shared vision, they still lacked the cohesion between associates that they strived for. Enter the mobile event app as a marketing tool. We helped them develop a strategy and execution to ensure all associates got on board and utilized the tool to its fullest.
To encourage adoption across the associates, we leveraged the help of the IT department to load their app onto all devices used across the entire organization. From there, each associate could personalize their profiles with custom photos and bios, create a profile of their division and current projects, as well as sign up for classes and trainings through their online training portal. With just a click of a button, they were able to sync up their schedules, see who’s new in the company and what other sections were working on. In addition to having these resources at their fingertips, they utilized message boards for instant communication between associates. Each division was assigned an expert to respond to questions related to their operations. For instance, if the receptionist asked marketing question, a marketing associate could respond with the correct answer.
