External Sync

The ConBop platform not only allows you to use a spreadsheet to upload data but 3rd party vendors registration vendors as well. Currently ConBop supports the following vendors

  • RegOnline®
  • Eventbrite™

The setup process is fairly simple and will only take a few moments.

RegOnline® setup

To add RegOnline syncing you will first need to collect the

  • API Token
  • Event ID

Getting API Token

To get the RegOnline API token, you must first log into the RegOnline website

Once you have logged into the system, you will need to navigate to the ‘My Profile’ section (This is located at the top right corner in the drop-down as shown below)

After clicking on the My Profile section, a window will open up with details about your profile. From this screen you will want to scroll all the way to the bottom of the window to the API Token section

(Where the black bar is in the screen shot will be your API token. Its important to note, API tokens allow you to pull data from your event. These token should be kept safe.)

Getting Event ID

From this point, we will want to save the API Token to a text document for use in the ConBop CMS. And we will now Grab the Event ID we wish to pull data from. To do this, simply select ‘Events’ from the top navigation on the RegOnline site

Once the Events page loads up, you will see a listing of all your event, along with the event ID

You will want to copy this ID for use as the Event ID in the ConBop CMS. Now that you have the API Token, navigate back to the ConBop CMS Attendees > External Sync page

When the External Sync page loads up, you will need to select ‘RegOnline’ as the vendor. After selecting the vendor, a window will be exposed, allowing you to paste your API token and Event ID.

At this point, you will select the ‘Test Connection’ button, testing that everything is connecting correctly. Once the connection is successful you will want to click the ‘Save Connection’ button to save the connection string.

Once Everything is setup you can click the ‘Sync Attendees’ button. This sync will add all registered attendees to the ConBop system. Additonally, any attendee that has already been sync to the system will be updated should there be any update from the RegOnline system.

(Note: Any changes to an Attendee [Names, Email etc ] that has previously been imported will be overwritten with data from RegOnline during the sync)

Eventbrite™  setup

To setup the Eventbrite integrations you will need to complete a few simple tasks

  • Create an Eventbrite ‘App’
  • OAuth Token
  • Event ID

Creating an Eventbrite ‘App’

To start, you will need to log into your Eventbrite account and navigate to Account Settings

Once the Account Settings page has loaded up you will want to scroll down to the ‘Developer’ section ‘App Management’ and click ‘App Management.

(If you already have an app created, you can skip this step )
Once the App Management page has loaded, you will need to click the button listed on the right hand side labeled ‘Create a  New App’

Once the page has loaded, you will fill out the information request, listing ‘https://ConBop.com’ as the ‘Application URL’, the other fields can be filled in with what ever information you would like.

After the fields have been filled in, click the ‘Create Key’ button below to generate your Token. After the Token has been generated you will be taken back to the ‘Manage Apps’ page, and your new application will be listed. From here you will want to copy the OAuth token for use in the ConBop CMS.

(Black bar are intentional to block tokens)

Once you have your OAuth token, you will want to grab your Event ID, this can be done by navigating to the ‘Manage Events’ page

One the manage events page has been loaded, select the ‘Edit’ option

Once the page loads up, you will want to look at the URL of the page, appended to that URL is the eventID or eID as shown below

This value is your event ID and will be used on the ConBop CMS to connect to the Eventbrite API. Next, you will want to navigate to the ConBop CMS  > Attendee > External Sync page
