It’s no secret: companies need mobile apps. Most everyone has a smartphone these days and for many, it has replaced the desktop and is used as their sole source of communication. There are numerous app companies offering varying degrees of customization and pricing.
We have broken down the differences to assist you in making the right choice for your organization.
How does off –the-shelf work?
An off-the-shelf product is a mobile event app that currently exists on the iOS and Android Play markets. Attendees search for the Conbop app and download it onto their device and use the conference code to gain access to the conference information. This is the most economical and time-saving approach. Attendees have full access to the robust suite of features in the Conbop mobile event app and can literally have an app in their hands in minutes. Conference organizers can customize almost every feature of their app with the exception of the icon users will download and the welcome screen.
What is a white label?
A white label software is one that currently exists and an organization can put their branding/logo/name on the software to use completely as their own. For example, an organization can take the current Conbop mobile event app and have a custom app icon and welcome screen. The organization has free reign to name the app whatever they choose – an event name or company name is most popular. The attendee will go to the app store and search for the company name and download that app as the company’s own app.
This option is great for subscription users and organizers that host multiple events. Because of the dedicated staff and development involved in this model, it does come at an additional fee.
Imagine an app that is all your own. Pretty cool, huh?
