Creating community with a Mobile Event App – a benefit for our sponsors & exhibitors
One of the lesser known but highly effective functions of mobile event apps is the ability to create a community surrounding your event. When attendees have a chance to access the app a couple weeks ahead of time and leverage the tools of engagement: message boards, schedules and personal profiles, it’s a win-win for everyone. At a recent event, exhibitors & sponsors had the opportunity to entice attendees to their booths well ahead of the event date – using push notifications & the Conbop message board.
The campaign was simple: allow exhibitors & sponsors the opportunity to highlight their products and services within the app to begin the conversation before attendees arrived. In addition to the promotions, exhibitors capitalized on the chance to secure meetings and client visits. In just 2 weeks’ time, attendees had planned their agendas for the user conference and exhibitors had a solid meeting schedule booked. The outcome was incredible; momentum was built and due to effective marketing of giveaways and prizes, many booths saw lines over the two day expo.
